What the guarantee covers

How to register

1. Certified Installer application — at least (2) coats of Repel Pro, Liquid Kraken or Liquid Thor by a SYC Certified Installer. Locate or verify your installer.
2. Gather your details — vessel year, make, model, length and HIN, paint / gel coat age, application date, installer details and your invoice.
3. Submit the form below — the guarantee is only valid from date of registration of guarantee and vessel details online.
4. Follow the Maintenance Plan — approximately 6 months after coating has been installed.

12-Month Limited Guarantee from SYC

Starke Yacht Care (SYC) guarantees to the owner of the registered vessel, that if the Ceramic Coating is unsatisfactory in its performance of protecting the vessels factory finishes from oxidation, UV damage, stains from bird droppings and trees, while being maintained in accordance with the terms and conditions of this guarantee by a STARKE Certified Installer, will at no cost to the owner repair or clean, and re-treat the affected area(s). SYC Installers must be notified of any claim due to failure of product performance within 30 days of occurrence.

Guarantee is valid for vessels with paint or gel coat less than 5 years old, or older with proof of paint condition (upload required for paint 5 years or older). Requires application of at least (2) coats of Repel Pro, Liquid Kraken or Liquid Thor by a SYC Certified Installer. The guarantee is only valid from date of registration of guarantee and vessel details online.

Maintenance Plan

The following forms the minimum requirements for the SYC Maintenance Plan. For guarantee to be satisfied, the minimum of a bi-annual Pure Clean hand wash, Venom decontamination with Replenish SiO2 Maintenance Spray must occur approximately 6 months after coating has been installed. Additional services are available at the vessel owners request. Contact your SYC Certified Installer for pricing of the Maintenance Plan.

General Liability Limitations for Starke Yacht Care Technologies or its agents, will not accept liability for:

• Damage, either accidental or malicious, including but not limited to chemicals, fire, flood, extreme weather conditions and secondary effects that may result from the foregoing
• Damage caused by collision or other accidents
• Damage caused by alteration or modification of surfaces
• Damage caused by manufacturers defects
• Attempts to apply wax, polish, or other aggressive cleaning agents to the coated surface
• Damage caused by marine life, algae growth, barnacles, and ground abrasion
• Deterioration of factory paint work or repaint or any other treated part of substandard specification, materials or workmanship by vessel manufacturers, their dealerships, third party suppliers or modifiers, or professional detailers not authorized by SYC
• Pre-existing damage or deterioration
• Any claim for matters which are covered by vessels manufacturer's warranty
• Neglect to maintain the vessel according to the standards and techniques recommended
• Damage caused by abrasive compounds and polishes and third-party products
• Failure to repair and re-treat surfaces subject to accident damage

Making a Claim

In the event of a guarantee claim, this guarantee is subject to the following conditions and limited to the following maximum amounts at Starke Yacht Care Technologies options:

• Starke Yacht Surface Technologies or its agents shall arrange the necessary approvals for repairs and coating reapplication to be carried out, or;
• Pay the owner of the nominated vessel a maximum amount of $500 or the cost of coating application (whichever is less) in full and final settlement of the customers claim under the guarantee.
• When proof of payment is not available, coating application shall be calculated based on recommended pricing.
• Claim inspections are subject to a servicing fee $150.00. Servicing fees are refundable with a valid guarantee claim.

Vessel Accidental Damage

If the vessel sustains damage and reapplication is needed, contact your Starke Yacht Surface Technologies Installer to arrange any additional treatments.

Any attempt by a customer or agent to submit a fraudulent claim will result in prosecution to the fullest extent of the law and will result in the termination of dealer or distributor contracts and territories.
